This Victorian house dated of 1879 is located in the south part of the famous Loch-Ness, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. More exactly near the village of Fort Augustus.
The Lovat is a family-run hotel offering contemporary comfort and traditional Victorian charm.Always aspiring to be innovative, the newly installed central heating & water system is revolutionary in using an eco-friendly biomass wood chip burner. However, solitude can be found with stunning panoramic views across Loch Ness, the five lock canal staircase or the surrounding mountains.
28 en-suite bedrooms offer technologically advanced facilities : modern bathrooms, flat screen TV, Internet access, and tea/coffee facilities. Some of them overlooking the Loch Ness and the mountains (availaible on request).
The bar’s modern design makes it a perfect place to relax with a fine whisky, ale or wine. The dedicated kitchen sources produce locally with a focus on fresh, seasonal & well-balanced dishes. The hotel has two dining areas : the relaxing brasserie which serves more traditional food and The fine dining restaurant ‘Station Road’ who serves a five course meal.
