Oyster Card validity (for tickets INCLUDING Transport):
The new electronic Oyster Cards are effectively “pay as you go” travel cards loaded with a specific amount equivalent to the corresponding travel days booked. It is essential that they are used as per the restrictions below in order to avoid running out of credit before the duration of the pass. Traveliing outside these times will result in a higher amount being taken from the Oyster Card thus reducing your credit quicker.
– 1 day Travel cards (off-peak) should be used from 9.30am Mondays to Fridays, all day Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, on each day of validity and for any journey that starts before 4.30am on the day following the expiry date.
– 2 and 3 day Travel cards (off-peak) have the same rules as 1 day Travel card and can only be used on consecutive days.
– 6 day Travel cards can be used at any time during the period of validity and for any journey that starts before 4.30am on the day following the expiry date. Plus, when you buy a 6 day-London Pass with travel you get a 7th day of additional London travel, FREE!
