Join us for a guided afternoon walk through history to some of London’s most famous pubs & ale houses.
Afternoon Walking Tour
Our London pub tour is a gentle 2 mile amble through some of London’s ancient streets, enjoying fine views, quirky history and a drink or two along the way.
Stopping at least 4 different London pubs to quench our thirst, the small group provides a personal touch and the local feel.
London’s last remaining galleried inn. London’s oldest pub. The first place outside Ireland that Guinness was served. Popular haunts for Dickens & Shakespeare (not at the same time!) read all about it in Little Dorrit.
Hear the peel of “Oranges & Lemons” as you pass the historic Royal Air Force church. Drink in the street of shame, and eavesdrop on the big cases at the Law Courts…Pop into the Bank of England for a pint and hear the gruesome tales of Sweeney Todd.
The afternoon sees the streets of London at their quietest, but as the tour comes to an end, the offices spill out and the city workers are found relaxing over a pint.
We hunt out the real ales that London is famous for, but don’t worry if you prefer something different or if you’re a non-drinker, you can still enjoy the trip without a drop passing your lips!
The trip finishes close to the Strand and Covent Garden, where you will be a short walk away from the theatres, shops and restaurants in London’s West End.
