Originally built in the 1800s, The Gainsborough Bath Spa occupies two Grade II Listed buildings with distinguished Georgian and Victorian façades in the heart of the World Heritage Site of Bath. Named after the artist Sir Thomas Gainsborough, the hotel is centred around a unique Spa Village which has privileged access to Bath’s mineral-rich, natural thermal waters. As a Leading Hotel of the World, The Gainsborough Bath Spa is YTL’s first Hotel in the United Kingdom. Paying homage to its colourful history, the hotel is designed by New York based Champalimaud Design to be welcoming, elegant, vibrant and social.
Created by award-winning Champalimaud Design, the rooms and suites are custom furnished, subtly referencing period details combined with contemporary forms. Luxury accommodation is inclusive of standard five star amenities from luxurious bedding to generous wardrobes. Each room and suite also features a flat screen HD television, Roberts radio with Bluetooth, complimentary WiFi and heated bathroom floors. SPA VILLAGE BATH
Tapping into the original thermal springs, Spa Village Bath offers a contemporary perspective on the city’s thermal water heritage. The treasured waters of Bath are integrated with aquatic body therapies and classic treatments that focus on personalised aromatherapy. The Bath House experience enables guests to ‘take the waters’ in luxury. Guests will begin their visit with a circuit that includes dipping in two natural thermal pools of varying temperatures, traditional and infrared saunas, a steam room, an ice alcove and elegant relaxation areas.
