A luxury family retreat overlooking the Fowey Estuary, it’s believed that the majestic Fowey Hall inspired Toad Hall in The Wind in the Willows. Author Kenneth Grahame was certainly a frequent visitor to this former family mansion, and it’s the perfect location for messing about on the river like Ratty and his friends.
Fowey Hall, now an impressive luxury family hotel, was originally built as a beautiful Victorian mansion by local resident Charles Hanson. Today, the building retains the unique character of a coastal manor with the relaxed atmosphere of a country house.
Located in the courtyard or with estuary views, the bedrooms are decorated in a comfortably modern style and are ideal for families who’d like space to relax.
