The Derby Midland, BW Signature Collection (formerly The Hallmark Hotel Derby Midland) oozes with the unique history and character of its home city.
It’s a place that is fondly regarded by locals and one of the first ever purpose-built railway hotels. So, naturally, if you’re arriving into Derby by train, our grade II listed Victorian building will be the first landmark in the city that you see and thankfully where you can stroll to to find a great night’s sleep.
Of course, we’re also easy to reach if you’re driving into the city and have ample parking available to enable you to explore the absolutely stunning scenery around us in the Peak District National Park
Having been around for well over 150 years we’ve accommodated some pretty impressive and interesting guests at the Derby Midland, BW signature Collection. Not just the early train passengers arriving at the first purpose-built railway hotel on the earth, but many entrepreneurs and businessmen who made the Midlands the powerhouse of a dynamic 19th century economy. Indeed, we’ve even provided rest and recuperation to a visiting monarch. No less than Queen Victoria relied on us when visiting Derby
