Built around the shell of a 12th century Cistercian monastery, Coombe Abbey was taken over by No Ordinary Hotels in 1995, and the original architectural features were restored to their former glory.
Antiques, fabrics and furniture were sourced from across the globe to create interiors that are both luxurious and dramatic. There are now 119 bedrooms at Coombe Abbey, each one individually decorated with period details concealing modern fittings.
Every room is filled with historical artefacts and special touches, where you may even find a bathroom hidden behind a bookcase. The Crown rooms are elegantly designed and very comfortable, or you can treat yourself with one of the Feature rooms, many of which have four poster beds.
Dining at Coombe Abbey is a feast for all the senses. While your eyes delight in the elegant surroundings of the Restaurant or the sophisticated style of one of the private dining rooms, your taste buds can savour the glorious flavours of Coombe Abbey’s fine food. The exquisite array of dishes is prepared using only the finest and freshest ingredients and are cooked and presented to perfection.
Elegant meeting rooms with the facilities and the capacity to host functions for up to 120 guests, makes Coombe Abbey Hotel a unique choice as a conference venue. The impressive meeting rooms are stylishly presented and can be used for a small corporate meeting, large conference or private dining.
