FREE App now available enabling visitors to embrace technology at its best and fully immerse themselves in the wonders of ‘England’s Heritage Cities’

Twelve of some of England’s best known historical cities, collectively referred to as “England’s Heritage Cities”, have released a FREE app bringing their unique heritage to life.  This is a great resource to increase the appeal of England’s heritage to a global, tech-savvy audience and is an essential FREE “added-value” product, relevant to most leisure visitors to England.  Tourists to the UK will now be able to download the app to their smart phone or device and utilise it whilst touring the length and breadth of the country, fully exploring key heritage cities.

We love this app as it’s a fantastic new product providing visitors an insider’s view bringing history to life through the people who lived and worked in some of England’s best known historic locations; using augmented reality.  Best of all, once downloaded it can be used offline so as not to use any mobile roaming data!  It makes perfect sense for you to recommend this available application to your clients.

The details and features in this app would also work really well with the English Heritage Overseas Visitors Pass – both complimenting each other quite nicely! Speak to the ASA team for further detail on how to combine the two.

Twelve iconic heritage sites and experiences, one in each of England’s Heritage Cities, have been interpreted using techniques, such as augmented reality and storytelling. Their unique tales are told through the eyes of history’s most colourful characters, bringing them to life via an app. The app allows visitors to explore each attraction and unlock its stories at various points on site. The stories are communicated using 360˚ photos, 3D models and simple text and image overlays. All of these also give visitors access to hidden areas of the different sites
