Christmas at the Palace of Holyroodhouse

Christmas at the Palace of Holyroodhouse

This winter the Palace of Holyroodhouse will be adorned with glittering decorations to celebrate the festive season.

The Great Stair leading to the Palace’s historic State Apartments will be draped with garlands and wreaths and lit-up with twinkling lights throughout December.

In the Royal Dining Room, the table will be decorated with flowers, wreaths and spires of faux candied sugared fruits, and laid with pieces from a silver service presented to George V and Queen Mary in 1935 to mark their Silver Jubilee.

In the Great Gallery admire the 15ft Christmas tree decked with white and silver fruits and flowers.
